The apparent characteristic is that the male has one flat blue horn. The horn is quite soft like cartilage. It is written “Rednose Chameleon” on iNaturalist, but it’s probably a typo.

The total length is about 15cm and small.

Another characteristic is that the eyelids are stained red in some places.

How to identify between similar species

There are some one-horned 


This species is a chameleon inhabiting Uluguru Mountain in Morogoro and Udzungwa Mountains Iringa.

Red List says the habitat is altitude of 1400m to 1850m. Basically it does not inhabit the area where humans live, it is only forest. It lives around the village which is befind Bunduki village in the western part of Uluguru mountain, so ask the villagers to find it. they will find it soon.
