Characteristic
This chameleon is a one-horned chameleon that only inhabits Mt. Ngozi in Mbeya.
The status of Redlist is Least Concern, but the observation records are extremely few and the characteristics are not well understood.
It seems that the team of Exo Terra found it for the first time in 2006.
There is a tiny corner and no crest or flap.
How to identify between similar species
It is very similar to Kinyongia Magomberae and Kinyongia Msuyae, and it is difficult to identify by appearance.
Since the habitat do not overlap, you can only identify by area.
Habitat
It lives only on Mount Ngozi in Mbeya.
Please refer to Mbeya information for details of the area.
This species is not adapted to farms, so it can only be found in the forest.
The local people in the nearby village don’t know the existence.
Past observation record is the following marker positions.
Where to find
Unknown, but like other chameleons, it seems to be on a tree branch about 1 to 3m above the surface.
However, the smaller chameleons are very cautious and can be quite difficult to find during the day because they are hidden behind the branches.
