This chameleon is a pygmy chameleon inhabiting the East Usambara Mountains in Tanga.

There is a single line on the body, and there are a dot on it.

Other than that, it is a normal pygmy chameleon.

How to identify between similar species

This is the only specie that contains a dot on a single line.


It lives only in Eastern Usambara Mountains in Tanga.

It is inhabited so many that you can see it during the night walk held by Amani Forest Reserve in East Usambara Mountains.

Where to find

It lives on the surface behind fallen leaves in the daytime, and at night, It sleeps on a tree branch near the surface of 10-30cm, just like other general pygmy chameleons.
