Characteristic
Characteristic
This is a chameleon which lives in a relatively warm area in eastern Tanzania.
The biggest characteristic is that it is overwhelmingly large compared to other species in Tanzania.
There is a short horn like a big nose.
Unlike other species, the back crest is lined up with a shape like an equilateral triangle.
The body color is also characteristic with a green and yellow border pattern.
How to identify between similar species
There is no such a large chameleon in Tanzania except for this specie.
Habitat
It lives in the savannah of eastern Tanzania.
It seems to live in the city as well as in low-altitude forests.
The administrator observed on Mt. Nguru (the following marker village) in Morogoro.
Refer Morogoro Information for more information.
Where to find
This species seems to be at the zenith of a tree about 10m high.
Since it is large, it can be confirmed visually.
It is good to rely on the local people because they live in the village.
